Ashfall

Robert Pearce is a security guard in his forties. His most striking feature is probably his Ishvara outlook: He doesn't think there's much of a chance to figure it out and he doesn't think there's much that can be done against it, but instead of withdrawing into passivity in light of this, he's full of practical solutions for the short-term problems. He has a strong protective streak - but don't mistake him for a hero. He's accepted he's dead and just doesn't know it yet - he has nothing to lose by dying.
